How To Get Good Post-Bankruptcy Credit

After the bankruptcy, the first thing you would have to do is repair your credit. Without a proper credit record, you could be branded an untouchable to financial institutions and banks.

If and when you get any credit after the bankruptcy, you should be doubly careful that you do not default on any payments or else you will never come out from under the shadow of bad credit.

Keep records of your spending. The positive part of keeping accounts is that it is easy to use them to establish that things are moving on the right path.

A credit card or store card is the easiest way to improve your credit score. Keep a close track on the repayment schedule.

In case you need a loan, ensure that you do not repeat the mistakes you committed in the past that resulted in your bankruptcy.

If and when you get any sort of credit, ensure that you calculate very carefully how much the repayment installments are and how can you repay them. Any slight delay in payments could be taken very seriously by the lending companies.

Special classes are held by non-profit organisations and even debt management program providers. The programs are helpful when you have no money, a bankruptcy behind you, and you need to learn how to hold and manage extra cash. Money management is a useful skill, and not just in regard to money. It helps your self-discipline generally.

You will then find, when visiting your counsellor, that the love of easy money is the root cause of most of your problems.

What Do Bankrupt People Do When They Need A Loan?

When you file for bankruptcy and this motion is discharged, it means that the outstanding debts have been paid as per the bankruptcy rules. It will take two years for a person who was declared bankrupt to start with his normal life again.

It is possible to avail of a loan even before your lock-in period is over; however, it is quite hard to achieve this. One thing that could help you here is your post-bankruptcy credit report. If it is flawless, then you might have a chance to be considered for the loan. Besides, you would need to make a large deposit of 3-5% of the total loan amount.

The deposit can be met with a loan from friends and relatives; however, you would need to keep proof of every penny gathered, as the lender would need to see and accept the sources of your income. While it is acceptable to borrow for the deposit, the lender would not accept your application if your day-to-day income comes in this manner. You would need to have a job, which pays you sufficient to support yourself and repay the loan at the same time.

Another way to raise money for the deposit would be through online (and offline) grants. Run a search on the Internet and find out about this aspect. There are plenty of grants available on and off the Net, which could help you in this period of your life. The only thing is to get the right one.

The third pre-requisite that a lender would need is proof of your regular and sufficient income. Here, you will need to keep in mind that loans from relatives are not really an acceptable source of income.

If you manage to stay afloat for two years after the bankruptcy, then it will be easier for you to apply and get the loan you need. It remains for you to re-build your credit record and make the best of your future. It is also a good idea to save something out of your income every month so bankruptcy never happens to you again.

Losing Weight the National Geographic Way - Why The Animals Are Smarter Than Us

I love wild-life documentaries. I love watching those amazing creatures in their habitat, doing what they do. Well, perhaps not the tearing-each-other-to-pieces part.. but all the other stuff. Well, nearly all the other stuff.

Not so long ago, I was watching a doco and it dawned on me that there ain't too many Chubby Girl animals in the wild.

Apart from animals which are genetically pre-disposed to have more fat for protection or survival (Bears, Penguins, Seals, Craigs), your typical animal in the wild is in pretty handy shape. You might say Buffed. Lean. Ripped. Rock-hard.

A few years ago I went on safari in Africa and while I saw thousands of animals, the only fatties I saw were the hippos.... but who's gonna tell them? Not me.

Interestingly, it's only when us very clever humans get involved with animals (i.e. feeding our domestic pets) that we start to see the rolls appear. My friend has a labrador that's about the size of a Hyundai..... she's like a three-door hatch with blond hair (the dog, not my friend).

Anyway, I started to think; how come these 'dumb' animals who don't have the magnificent education and brain-power that we humans do, don't have access to all those great diet books and that cutting-edge research (whatever that means) and certainly haven't read any of my blog (no internet access)... how come they're.... never fat? None of them. Not one.

Well the obvious answer is going to be that they run around all day trying not to get eaten by something with bigger, sharper teeth than theirs. Sure, we know that. They obviously have great exercise programs.... not to mention their incidental and occupational activity levels (you should try being a full-time hunter; huge calorie burner).

But, what about their diet? How do they know when to eat? How do they know when it's dinner time? How do they know how much to eat.... especially when there's not a clever human around to tell them.

Well, I kept searching as any good scientist and researcher would, and here's what I found: Hang on; you best sit down. This is big.

They eat when they need food. And when they don't need food, they don't eat.

Imagine that; not eating unless you actually NEED food. Crazy. That's never gonna catch on with humans.

Apparently, animals have this weird ability to discern a phenomenon called 'hunger'. When they sense it, they eat.

A little scientific I know, but hang in there with me.

Legend has it that thousands of years ago, we humans had this special ability also.

Okay, should I stop the sarcasm now? Oh alright.. but it's so much fun.. and I'm so good at it.

These days it seems that we are so dis-connected from what should be our natural instincts, so resistant to our body's physiological indicators, so programmed to eat certain foods, in certain amounts, at certain times, and so out of touch with what our body actually needs ... that some of us are rapidly heading towards a future of obesity, poor health and shorter-than-necessary life expectancies.

If only we would learn to listen to our body. If only we would realise that it's much smarter than us (the cerebral us).

There's a school of thought that teaches human bodies don't actually need set meals, set eating times, set micro and macro-nutrient intakes. This classroom teaches that daily nutritional requirements not only vary from person to person, but that they vary for the same person, from day to day. Some very smart people teach that eating instinctively, that is, in accordance with what our body is telling us, is optimal for health, function, appearance and longevity.

Imagine that.
No diets.
No set anything.
Just a series of signals and responses.
Clever.

Over the next month or so, you and I (if you stay with me) are going to explore the concept of instinctive eating, and in the near future I am going to conduct a strict 28 day research project on myself. I will document my results at the conclusion and tell you what I've learned.

I have considered the possibility of making this a group effort if some of you may be interested in joining me. If there's significant interest we can explore it... otherwise I will fly solo. I will be posting my instinctive eating guidelines and rules in the next week, so you may want to peruse them before you make any decision on the 28 day extravaganza..

Anyway, it might be fun. If you are interested, or you have any, thoughts, ideas or suggestions, click on the comments thingy at the bottom of this article and share with us all.

It's Not That Hard: Expert Shares Practical Tips For Internet Marketing Novices

Try to run a search for the name Edward Gilbert. Youll garner about 2,700,000 hits, and the most prominent of them would refer to Edward Gilbert the doctor, Edward Gilbert the lawyer, and Edward Gilbert the deceased professional wrestler. None of them though, would point to Edward Gilbert, the internet marketing millionaire.

Im not comfortable with self-promotion, said Edward, or Eddie to his friends and clients. He used to be one of the top dropshippers, or wholesale distributors in cyberspace, having supplied various products like vintage shoes, hip hop accessories and charms to many people worldwide. Currently, he considers himself as a retired internet marketer and has invested his online earnings in the real estate game. The real world real estate, that is.

Eddies a relative latecomer in the online business, as he had his first brushes with the internet only in 2001. Back then, he was an assistant to the postmasters office of his state and was being groomed for eventual succession.

So what brought about Eddies shift from slow mail to e-mail?

I always thought that the internet was only good for Porn Star Autumn Westin, he answered, sharing a sentiment we all felt at one point. It was the new millennium and I was running a 586 at home, he continued, I never felt the need to have a new setup that would just perform the same tasks.

But one day that fateful year, his daughter won a new computer from the local YFC. Shes the real entrepreneur in the family, Eddie proudly proclaimed of her daughter Joy Marie, she won a small scale business plan competition at the age of 15. The new computer allowed them to use the AOL CDs that have piled up in their home, and this opened a new world of digital possibilities for the Gilbert family. Eddie would often call in sick for work just to discover the then uncharted reaches of cyberspace.

One thing led to another. Eddie soon discovered E-bay where he started selling small woodwork tokens that were carved by his brother.

I wasnt able to sell anything, which didnt do much to Brians (his brother) ego, he said. Id go home from work every day and excitedly log on, only to find out that no orders were placed.

But this initial frustration did not discourage him. After a couple of months, Eddie decided to dabble on public domain information (PDI).

I got the idea from David Vallieres, he narrated, referring to the E-bay power seller who is hailed in the internet marketing community as one of the more prominent masters of the trade. He mentioned how Walt Disney made an empire out of PDI. Armed with renewed vigor, Eddie made his research and discovered the demand for some books belonging to the public domain.

That caused me to visit the local library, he continued, I borrowed some books, scanned them, arranged them really nice, packaged them as e-books, and within two days, I earned close to $2,000. All net. Despite his careful planning, the result still came as a surprise for him. I never thought that I could actually earn money from the internet until I made my first sale, he shared.

Selling PDI is very cost-efficient, Eddie confided, you dont have to pay anyone any royalties. Minimal capital is needed, and all the profit is yours to keep. Eddie realized that as big as E-bay was, it was not his entire market. He developed a site wherein he could advertise his book and offer it for sale outside of the said auction community. At first, traffic was slow, which forced him to remove the guest counter in the main page so that his few visitors wont get the wrong impression.

Then I discovered about link exchanges and attaching your site to your online persona, Eddie continued. I tried to make friends with fellow webmasters and they included my site as one of their links for free. I also tried to advertise my site as much as I could. I included its address in my profiles signature in all the discussion forums I joined and e-mail responses I wrote.

The visitor count gradually increased and he was starting to make sales from his website. It was at this point when Eddie learned about search engine positioning, which, back in 2002, was more of a myth than a fact.

I invested some of my earnings on a traffic expert, he said, referring to what Search Engine Optimization (SEO) experts were called three years ago. I have no regrets as traffic did increase and so did sales, so I got back what I spent in a week or so.

After a few months, Eddie gave up his day job as his online income was providing him some substantial earnings. And since his site has been generating most of the profit for his PDI products, he was able to shift his attention back to E-bay where he started offering goods he bought in bulk from contacts he was introduced to, both online and offline.

Its the basic system of a profitable barter, he explained, buy and sell, man! Buy and sell! You buy goods at a lower price, and you sell them for a little higher amount.

Earlier this year, Eddies total online earnings have reached close to two million dollars. I never had to employ anyone, except for those who had to carry my wholesale orders from another state to my place, he added. With the income he has gained, Eddie has decided to take a temporary hiatus from his online adventures to weave his magic in the real world.

When asked what advice he could give for beginners, Eddie was quick to reply. Dont give up on it, he said, just remember that Rome wasnt built in a day.

Its not that hard, Eddie continued, just dont forget to have fun.
